I've been using skype for nearly a year with a full subscription and the problems keep coming. Among them are:
1. Incorrect charges (automatically charging my credit card twice with no recourse)

Call quality not bad, but company is one big fraud. Tried 6 times within a minute to recharge my account, even if I did NOT set up automatic recharge. No customer service. TIP: if you use Paypal, remove them from the authorized list, otherwise Skype
