InPhonex offers a variety of VoIP services designed for a wide variety of needs though there really isn't anything that distinguishes the service from competitors.
InPhonex's most popular plan, US & Canada Unlimited is $19.95 a month and includes all the standard phone features like Voicemail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, free In-Network calls and more. You can also keep your existing phone number. However, the service don't provide directory assistance.
InPhonex charges a one-time setup fee of $19.95, and unlike many of the services we reviewed there is no cancellation fee at any time. However they don’t provide a free phone adapter. You can buy your own at a local store or choose one from them. The cheapest one we saw was almost $65.
Other plans include “Pay as you Go” calling, Worldwide 36 (long distance calling to 36 different countries, NAFTA Unlimited, The Americas Unlimited, Mexico Unlimited and more.
InPhonex's includes pretty much everything we've come to expect from a VoIP that is generally extra with convential phone companies such as 3-Way Calling, Fall Forwarding, Call Waiting, and CallerID. Their included features also include Do Not Disturb, Virtual Phone Numbers and the ability to travel with your account.
Features available at additional cost include Additional Lines, Local Number Portability, and a Toll-Free Number
Set up of InPhonex is just like any other VoIP service. You must first have a high-speed internet connection in place. Connect the Analog Telephone Adapter to the broadband modem and plug your phone into the adapter.
We found InPhonex to provided a decent customer service section including a FAQ, user guide, telephone support and email contact. Our emails were answered in 24 hours.
InPhonex charges about the same as higher ranked VoIP providers but offers a smaller feature set and a higher price for the phone adapter.
