All VOIP services require a high-speed Internet connection and most are easy to setup. All you have to do is sign up online and you will be sent a free telephone adapter. Plug the adapter into your cable or DSL modem, then plug your telephone into the adapter and you're ready to make calls.
Net2Phone's VoiceLine plan for Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) service included unlimited calling to anywhere in the United States and Canada for $29.99 a month. This calling plan also includes free in network calling. Net2Phone is unique because they include almost two dozen different calling plans to countries around the world. However, because of this they do not offer additional international rates. If you want to call a country that is not on your plan you’re out of luck.
They charge a one time $29.99 activation fee and a $39.99 cancellation fee only if you cancel your service within one year of signing up.
Net2Phone also a 500 minute limited plan that includes 500 outgoing minutes to anywhere in the United States and Canada for $14.99 a month. Over-the-limit minutes are 2.9 cents per minute. The VoiceLine plan also has unlimited incoming calls.
VoiceLine's features include Voicemail, Caller ID, 3-way Calling, Speed Dial, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Call Return, Call Blocking, Enhanced 911 Dialing and you can keep your existing telephone number.
Missed calls can also be redirected to up to five different numbers including cell phones. First lines have to have your local area code, but additional lines can use a virtual number.

Net2Phone provides telephone and email support, FAQs, tutorials and users guides on their website. However, we found finding some specific information to be difficult. They also have a downloadable user guide and getting started guide. We contacted customer service by email and they returned our email within an hour with relevant answers to our questions.
VoiceLine from Net2Phone provides the same calling features (and more) as a traditional telephone company for a low monthly price and you can keep your existing telephone number.
